The crew of Providence & Worcester NH-1 has the door open to let some airflow in as their train trundles through Middlefield on a hot summer day in June.

After spending a Sunday afternoon switching in Middletown, train CT-1 with 11 cars for Cedar Hill Yard passes in Middlefield.

Providence & Worcester train CT-1 picked up five cars in Middletown and is returning back to Cedar Hill Yard. It is passing the Lyman Orchards Packing House in Middlefield on a spring afternoon.

A former New York, Susquehanna and Western B40-8 is in charge of Providence & Worcester train CT-1 in Middlefield.

At Middlefield, CT-1 rolls south into the setting sun, with one of three B39-8s still in the original Providence & Worcester paint scheme.

PW NR-4 crosses the bridge at Rockfall with 2006 leading.

PW CT-1 passes north through Middlefield on their way to Middletown.
